Daisy the OCEARCH-tagged Great White Shark recently vanished from the marine exploration team’s tracking system when it was reported that her tag fell off somewhere near the Bay of Plenty.
What researchers failed to mention is that Daisy herself was able to shed much more light upon the situation in a brief interview with roving undersea reporter, SpongeBob Squarepants.
“That annoying thing didn’t just fall off my back,”asserted Daisy. “I asked a passing sea lion to knock it off, as a favor. He did. Then I ate him. It was a classic case of ‘you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours.’ Perfectly reasonable transaction.”
