Meh. I never followed any of the developing lore that surrounded these sci-fi icons and never watched any of the approximately 7M movie sequels. That’s probably because the original Predator film with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Jesse Ventura, et al. was and remains one of the five or six absolutely (or near) perfect science fiction action-thrillers ever made. I knew when I first watched Predator back in the day that it would never be improved-upon and I watched it again last night. It still holds up with aplomb and fluorescent green blood.
Leave the incessant, obsessive, and overwrought “backstories” behind, Desperate Culture Vultures, and embrace the fascination of Mystery.
