In case you have never explored the astonishingly beautiful geography around Quebec’s Gaspe Peninsula, a trip should be high on your list of manageable explorations for the future. Maritime lifestyles have never looked so quaint and picturesque as they do along this idyllic stretch.
Think about a visit. You can travel by car (that IS The preferred method) and behold the jollier, earthier Quebecois (the ones you don’t see in Montreal) in their native habitat. The windswept vistas will likewise carry away some the excessive earthiness. It’s a win-win scenario, folks.
The waters around the Gaspe are also known for their abundance of marine life including Great White Sharks that patrol these winsome but enigmatically forbidding coastal-scapes. This ARTICLE attests to the wealth of sharky activity, and, if I am not mistaken, the very largest/longest Great White Shark ever accurately and scientifically measured was caught off chilly Canadian waters in the 1980s—a 21ft. female. There are photos of her on the net if you really trawl for them. There: you have your weekend’s Great White Workload appointed to you. Chop, chop.
