Frankly, I did not know there were enough elephants remaining in the Northeast of Anywhere to merit an Artificial Intelligence system that alerts oncoming trains to the presence of a pachyderm crossing a railroad track. Is this a good sign for elephant populations? Is it an unfortunate sign for the wellbeing of trains and the thousands of passengers crammed into every car? Is this a harbinger of the rising power of robots to protect the interests of endangered species, scooting the Jumbos and Dumbos out of the way and uprooting rail lines so that human modes of transportation might careen off cliff-sides and help control homo sapien overpopulation? Can these AI systems be used on aviation tarmacs here in the USA? CAN WE GET SOME FREAKIN’ KILLER ELEPHANTS OF OUR OWN IN THE STATES?

So many questions.

There needs to be a culling.
