I have used this blogging site service since 2012. It’s chief attraction, for me, was a straightforward and user-friendly quality.

In subsequent years, I have watched it become steadily more incoherent, convoluted, chaotic, and flat-out asinine in terms of basic operation.

But is that not just like so many aspects of technology we encounter these days? I’m fairly adept with a number of social media outlets and yet there seems to be a driving need behind many of these companies (and the scatterbrained, attention-maimed shits coming up with new “options” to justify their employment) to reinvent the wheel, as it were.

If it ain’t broke, don’t FIX IT. And sure as hell don’t OVER-FIX it!

My time is valuable, especially in the morning over coffee next to a roaring winter fire in the hearth.

I don’t want more friggin’ options, I just want better, workable basics.
