Within 50 years, I suppose a thumb-twiddling rich family bereft of ideas for “fun” will be able to call up a boutique company and arrange an elite hunting expedition wherein random, impoverished human beings are the prey. (Picnic lunches, champagne, and taxidermists provided for a nominal upgrade.)

Of course, one can hope that such excursions might be a problem, given the nuclear winter and all.

Who am I kidding? That sort of thing most likely goes on already in various corners of the world—most of us just aren’t well-heeled enough to know about it, yet. I guess the movie has already been done.
