Jonathan Kieran

Easily one of the worst, most asinine, derivative, poorly written, paced, directed, and ineptly actualized films I have ever encountered. Every tendency toward banality that haunts contemporary cinema across the spectrum “possesses” this sun-burned-barrel-of fish-guts that is a “movie”—not least of which is a heavy-handed kumbayuh lecture about forced Assorted Cremes candy-box diversity, and neo-political folderol arising from the sheer pulp-minded bowels (not brains) of today’s generation of shit filmmakers. Utter, laughable garbage that is a grave insult to the original classic book, film, and to the career of Ellen Burstyn, a superb actress who should have known better before signing on for this exercise in dimwittedness.

In summary: I did not care for the film.
