The story of the 1959 “swallowed whole” Great White shark attack upon diver Robert Pamperin in La Jolla still gives me the chills. I read various accounts of this horrific event every now and then to creep myself out and remember why I have not entered the Pacific Ocean past my toes in over a decade.
