Leave it to this Pope to approve devotion to an invisible Virgin Mary who has been babbling the most random nonsense and gobbledygook daily for more than forty years. I was a kid when she began “appearing” to a passel of Croatian brats who were, in my opinion, being goaded by local Franciscan priests to perpetuate the asinine hoax. At this point, the “Lady of Medjugorje” has yammered more platitudinous piffle and word salad than is contained in the Old and New Testaments combined. The details of the alleged daily “appearances” should be enough to curl the hair of even the most gullible Catholic, but therein lies the crux: Catholic gullibility can be an abyss without bottom.

Dancing sun discs! Rosary chains turning to gold! Hysterics galore!
