And it is a load. At some point, it will be necessary to differentiate the beauty from the bilge—forget the adage about the eye of the beholder. Traditional publishing has needed a shake-up for a long time, indeed, but this kind of fiasco makes for a very dirty martini. Even the big NYC houses are churning out heaps of poorly edited garbage written by those who have no business sitting behind a laptop or putting pen to paper for the purpose of entertaining a disastrously dumbed-downed public. One wonders—is it worth it, anymore? Caveat emptor, babes.
