Well, this is not a photo of me and Kacey Musgraves. It’s a photo of me and my Mom, Sandra, a few years before Alzheimer’s took her.

I’m still angry about that, because she was a fun, loving, madcap lady who deserved a lot better in life.

So today I am taking my anger out upon the subpar whistling employed by otherwise fine pop pixie, Kacey Musgraves, who writes and sings beautiful songs but can’t whistle for shit.

Yeah, that’s how I’m playing this.

Be at peace, Mom, wherever you are. Far away from those who really betrayed you.
