Fanboys of vintage Chuck Norris

may call him “one hell of a bloke”

but bloodthirst like his should abhor us;

his legacy’s gone up in smoke.

The guy caught and butchered large breeding female and male great white sharks for the sheer fun of it, and for purposes of displaying these awesome (and environmentally necessary) creatures for personal thrills and profits. Yes, times and attitudes were different in Hislop’s day, so he may be afforded some deserved perspective. But in the big scheme of things, he contributed little to the study and science regarding these magnificent beasts. If the guy practiced or promoted any scintilla of responsible conservation or productive research, I’ll gladly stand corrected, to a degree. Otherwise … not a fan——————————————-
