Our friends at OCEARCH received a violent wake-up call when a Great Shark off the coast of Nova Scotia mauled one of their deep sea research devices, perhaps in a fit of pique after being spied upon.

Let’s face it, haven’t you felt the desire to sink your teeth into the face of a nosy diner who’s been eavesdropping on your conversation in a nearby booth at your favorite restaurant? The fact that you have been talking exclusively to yourself and attracting unwanted attention has nothing whatsoever to do with the urge. The impulse to throttle the intrusive is perfectly natural and even admirable, right? 😏

Sharks value their privacy as much as the next creature going out for a nice quiet meal. Have some empathy.
