Another of the original images inhabiting my eerie new supernatural novel THE WEDNESDAY BOX. There are forty-five images in all, each created with successive India Ink washes on distressed Bristol poster board (or paper), followed by chalk outlining, pen and ink work, Arteeza pencil flourishes, watercolor/acrylic paints, theatrical grease paint, and final colored pencil work. They are not exactly difficult to create (I find the process soothing, even hypnotic) but they are time-consuming. The book is a dark fable and while it can be read by young adults, it’s really a book ideal for all ages 12 and above. It asks specifically adult questions and tackles adult subject matter against a surrealistic, nightmarish landscape of fairy tale horror and mythical existentialism. Also, you do NOT want to be in the room depicted above. But you might get a distinctly satisfying chill reading about it. The book is available on Amazon Kindle and paperback HERE.
