One of the forty-five ORIGINAL illustrations in my new eldritch fantasy/dark fable novel for all ages, THE WEDNESDAY BOX. (Yes, it is one of those works written equally for seasoned adult readers and young adult readers. Each demographic will take different, harrowing things away from this supernatural glimpse into the cost of loneliness.) This illustration, like most of the others, was achieved with India Ink wash, Arteeza pencils, Prismacolor pencils, Posca paint markers, acrylic/watercolor/grease paints on Bristol. The scene depicts a perilous “trade” indeed. Read the book to discover if the transaction paid off.
